Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Psaltica Praxis handles information when you use the app and related support resources.

Overview

Psaltica Praxis is published by nadcost. The app is designed for composing, editing, and studying Byzantine chant notation on mobile devices.

Psaltica Praxis does not require a user account to use the core app.

Information Stored on Your Device

Compositions, settings, drafts, and similar app data may be stored locally on your device so the app can function properly and preserve your work.

This locally stored information is used to provide app features such as composition editing, playback settings, and backup/export workflows.

iCloud Backup

On supported Apple devices, Psaltica Praxis may use iCloud-related backup features to store backup files in your iCloud account when you use those features. This is used to help preserve and restore your compositions.

Crash Reporting and Diagnostics

Psaltica Praxis uses Sentry for crash reporting and error diagnostics. If the app encounters a crash or runtime error, technical diagnostic information may be sent to help identify, investigate, and fix the problem.

This information may include technical details such as device type, operating system version, app version, error traces, and related diagnostic context.

We also send Sentry diagnostic information about the playback-preview feature. These events record that a preview started, that a preview reached its time limit, or that the subscription prompt was shown, together with the following context: an opaque random identifier for the composition (not its title, file name, lyrics, or musical content), the number of compositions saved on the device, your subscription status, preview time used or remaining, and the app version. This information does not include your identity or any content you create.

Subscriptions and Purchase Status

Psaltica Praxis offers subscription-based premium features. Subscription and entitlement handling is managed through RevenueCat and the relevant app store billing platform.

Information related to purchase and subscription status may be processed in order to determine whether premium features should be available in the app.

No Required Account Registration

Psaltica Praxis does not require you to create a separate app account in order to use the app.

Support Requests and In-App Feedback

If you contact support by email, the information you include in your message will be received and used to respond to your request and help resolve the issue you reported.

If you submit feedback or a problem report from within the app, the report is sent to our crash- and feedback-reporting provider (Sentry). In addition to your message and the email address you provide, the report includes:

Problem reports about a specific composition also include metadata about that composition (such as the number of sections, the musical mode, and whether it has unsaved edits) and, if you choose to attach it, the composition file itself. This information is used solely to diagnose and resolve the issue you report.

Third-Party Services

Psaltica Praxis may rely on third-party service providers for limited functions such as crash reporting and subscription management. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies and terms.

Children's Privacy

Psaltica Praxis is not directed specifically to children under a particular age, and the app is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through account registration.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updated version will be posted at this page.
